The Sibley County Museum was established in 1948, housed in an 1884 brick mansion, built as the home of August and Emilie Poehler. The property is on the National Register of Historic Places. The collection includes cultural materials representing the scope of human activities, thoughts, and endeavors within the geographic area of Sibley County, and areas that are significant to Sibley County history. The Museum is open Sundays 2–5pm, Memorial Day weekend through October.
