New Ulm’s Glockenspiel is a unique free-standing clock tower. It stands 45 feet tall with a bourdon bell weighing 595 pounds. The tower has animated figures that depict the city’s history. New Ulm’s Glockenspiel plays at noon, 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. every day all year round. During the holiday season, the small moving characters in the clock are changed to a nativity scene.
