How to get there: From Watson, 1/2 mile northwest on Hwy 7/59, turn left on Chippewa Cty Rd 13, go 2.2 miles, turn right before the dam on Chippewa Cty Rd 32 and go another block where the Mission is on your right.
Joseph Renville invited missionaries to establish the Lac qui Parle Mission near this post in 1835. The replica Mission has interpretive panels about the mission site inside. It is not staffed, however it is open to the public. The Chippewa County Historical Society manages this Minnesota Historical Society site.
